Standards & Criteria

Quantitative reasoning is assessed at Mason in the introductory, general education, mathematics course. In 2004, math faculty developed goals for student learning and used test questions designed to measure the goals in Math 106. Recently, in part, as a result of this assessment, the faculty have chosen a new book to use in this course, one which better reflects their goals and intentions. As a consequence, new goals are in the process of being established along with new test questions.
